Practice: Emily Power is a California Teachers Association Group Legal Services Attorney and practices labor and employment law on behalf of unions and employees.
Education: Ms. Power obtained her undergraduate degree with honors from University of California Santa Barbara in 2007. She is a 2011 graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, New York. During law school, Ms. Power participated in the Labor and Employment Law Clinic where she represented employees in unemployment insurance hearings and interned at a preeminent plaintiff-side employment law firm.
Prior Experience: Ms. Power began her career as an associate in the Civil Litigation Department of Mastagni Holstedt, A.P.C. representing employees in personal injury and employment matters. Her practice focused on all aspects of civil litigation. Ms. Power then worked as an associate at Pollara Law Group where she defended physicians and health care facilities in medical malpractice matters. Her practice also involved responding to medical board complaints on behalf of physicians and representing physicians in employment related matters.
Memberships: Ms. Power is a member of the State Bar of California, Sacramento County Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Sacramento and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.
Interests: Ms. Power is passionate about constitutional rights and advocating for social equality. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with her friends and family.
